Actor Aryan Santosh, known for films like ‘Dear Sathya’ and ‘Nooru Janmaku’ has now turned director with a new film called ‘Chenkol’. The fantasy thriller in which he plays the main lead is complete and is waiting for a release.
Meanwhile, the teaser of the film was released by actor and Santhosh’s friend Prajwal Devaraj and Anand Guruji. The guests attended as chief guests at the event and wished Santhosh and his team a huge success.
Prajwal Devaraj said that the teaser has come out very well. ‘Santosh is very precise in his work. He has had a long journey and has worked extensively. He approaches every project with great dedication, almost like devotion. The teaser is very interesting. He has got a strong team. For any director, a strong and committed team is essential for a film to turn out well and that is clearly visible here’ said the actor.
‘Chenkol’ is being made in two parts. The shooting of the first part has already been completed and is ready for release. The word ‘Chenkol’ means ‘Royal Scepter’. The first part follows DJ Santu’s journey to Chenkol Hill, while the second part tells the story of King Agastya, set 1500 years ago. The film has been shot across locations in Kerala, Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru, and parts of Tamil Nadu.

Aryan Santosh said that he developed a story during a visit to Kerala. ‘This story came to me when I visited the forests of Wayanad in Kerala with friends. After seeing a Shiva Linga there, I developed this story. I am directing and acting in this film. Manasvi Manu, Sharanya, Akshita Bopaiah and Pooja Shetty are part of the cast’ said Santhosh Aryan.
Produced by Winter Bridge Studios and Pixel Originals, the film features Aryan Santosh in the lead role, while Manasvi and Sharanya play the female leads. Akshita Bopaiah, Pooja Shetty, Reshma, Aruna Balaraj, Sundar Veena, Aravind Rao, Mahanthesh Hiremath and others in important roles. The film’s cinematography is by Vipin D. Raj and background score by Manikanth Kadri.
