‘Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala’ gets a release date; to release on April 17th

‘Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala’ was supposed to be the debut film of singer-music composer Chandan Shetty as a hero. However, the film got delayed due to various reasons and his second film ‘Sutradhari’ went on to release first. Now ‘Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala’ has finally got a release date and the film is all set to release on the 17th of April.

Recently, the team released a song titled ‘Maathu Madhura’ through Anand Audio. The song composed by Pradeep-Praveen is sung by Darshan Narayan and Anuradha Bhat. During the song launch, the team officially announced the release date of the film.

‘Elra Kaaleliyatte Kaala’ is being produced by Govindaraju under Gokula Entertainers banner. Actor turned director Sujay Shastry has directed the film based on a story by Rajguru Hoskote. Praveen-Pradeep are the music directors, while Vishwajith Rao is the cinematographer.

Director Sujay Shastry said that the film’s release was delayed due to unavoidable reasons, but the time has now come for its release. ‘The film is set in the 1990s and most of the shooting for the film has been done in and around Kanakapura. The film conveys the importance of time and the title perfectly complements the story’ said Sujay.

Chandan Shetty said this is his first film as a lead actor and that he prepared extensively for the role, even gaining weight for it. ‘The film beautifully conveys the importance of valuing time and the consequences of not doing so. The film has a meaningful message and has come out very well’ said the rapper.

Actress Archana Kottige plays the female lead in the film. ‘I play a character called Vasantha and I am the owner of a small hotel. This is the first time that I play such a kind of character and I thank the whole team for making me a part of the film’ said Archana.

The cast also includes Dattanna, Tara Anuradha, Manju Pavagada and others in prominent roles.
