Actor Harish Jalagere turns director with ‘Boys Never Compromise’

Harish Jalagere who had earlier produced and acted as a hero in films like ‘Just Madveli’ and ‘Rajannana Maga’ has stepped into direction with a new film called ‘Boys Never Compromise’. The shooting for the film is complete and the film is in the post-production stage.

Meanwhile, the teaser and the ‘Boys Anthem’ from the film was released on Wednesday in Bangalore. The film is produced by Ujwala Nagaraj Jalagere under the banner of Marigold Studios.

Kolar Seenu, who had earlier directed Harish Jalagere’s previous two films, has joined hands with him in this new venture. Seenu has worked as a co-director in this film which is a horror-comedy.

Harish says ‘Boys Never Compromise’ is a horror-comedy film with a meaningful message. ‘The story revolves around a group of youngsters who go looking for fun and mischief and eventually find themselves connected to a ghost. Along with comedy, the film carries an important message. Boys too have certain requirements and expectations in life. Some are willing to compromise, while others are not. The film humorously explores what happens when they refuse to compromise,’ said Harish.

The director turned hero said he always wanted to direct. ‘This is my first directorial venture. My friend Kolar Seenu has supported me throughout this effort. The film is already ready for release and we are planning to release the movie on July 10. Actor Sudeep will be unveiling the trailer of the film,’ said Harish.

Actor Rajeev Reddy plays a police officer in the film. Actress Nakshatra, who previously appeared in modelling assignments and small roles, plays the female lead in the movie. The movie features mostly newcomers, including Samrat, Nakshatra, Suprith Kati, Seetharam, Mandya Siddu, Rajeev Reddy, Umesh Kinnal, Gajendra, Hemanth Gowda and Rajaraja Chola.

Loki Tavasya is the music composer, while Pramod Bharatiya is the cinematographer.
