Kannada, News

It’s been nearly three years since Prajwal Devaraj’s ‘Cheetah’ was launched. The film was delayed due to various reasons and now the film is finally complete with a song shooting held recently.

The final schedule of shooting was completed with the filming of a duet song featuring Prajwal Devaraj and Megha Shetty. The song was shot on a grand set built at Rockline Studio in Bangalore.

The film is directed by well-known choreographer Raja Kalai Kumar in his debt movie as a director. The film is produced by Pratibha under the banner of Rajalakshmi Entertainment.

Raja Kalai Kumar has completed 25 years in the film industry, working as a dancer and choreographer. ‘Cheeta’ is his first film as a director. Speaking about the film, ‘the film is set in a marketplace. It is about a boy who is born and brought up in the market. Prajwal plays this role. His character fights against illegal activities happening in the market. The film includes love, emotion and all the elements that audiences enjoy’ said Kalai Kumar, who is popularly known as Kalai Master in film circles.

Prajwal plays the role of an orphan who grows up in the marketplace. ‘Everyone there loves him without any caste or religious differences and he also loves them equally. I fight against many illegal activities, including a chemical mafia operating in the market. The powerful side of ‘Cheetah’ will be seen in the teaser and trailer’ said Prajwal.

Since most of the story takes place in a market, a huge set was built at the HMT premises under the direction of art director Shivakumar, and most of the shooting was done there. Some scenes were also shot in Ramanagara and Kolar.

‘Cheetah’ stars Prajwal Devaraj, Megha Shetty, Rangayana Raghu, Shruthi Hariharan, Chinni Prakash, Guru Jaggesh, Shivaraj K R Pete, Telugu actor, ‘Sidlingu’ Sridhar, Bala Rajwadi, Tennis Krishna and others in prominent roles.
