Rakshit Shetty’s next film ‘Richard Antony’, wherein he is not only acting but also donning the director’s hat is likely to be launched in the month of August this year.
‘Richard Anthony – Lord of the Sea’ marks the first collaboration between Rakshit Shetty and Vijay Kumar Kiragandur of Hombale Films. The film was first announced in 2021 and if everything had gone right, then the film would have been launched in January 2022.

However, Rakshit Shetty’s other films including ‘777 Charlie’ and ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’ got delayed due to various reasons. Now ‘777 Charlie is released and ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’ is completed and waiting for release. The film is likely to release in the month of June and sources say Rakshit Shetty is likely to start ‘Richard Anthony’ in the month of August.
Currently, Rakshith is busy with the pre-production of ‘Richard Anthony’ and intends to start the project after a month of release of ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’.
This film marks the return of Rakshit Shetty as a director after ‘Ulidavaru Kandanthe’ which was released nine years back. Fans of the ‘Simple Star’ have been requesting him to return back to direction and Rakshit Shetty will be making a comeback not only as director, but also as a writer through ‘Richard Anthony’.
Though the star cast of the film has not been finalised, Achyuth Kumar who was seen in a prominent role in the film, will be seen here also. Most of the crew from the original film is likely to be retained here also. More details about the film are yet awaited.
