Niranjan Sudhindra starrer ‘Spark’, which also stars ‘Nenapirali’ Prem as an antagonist is all set to hit the screens on the 25th of September. Meanwhile, the song ‘Madhura Mugulu Nage …’ was released in an event held at the Kalavidara Sangha in Bangalore recently.
Niranjan Sudhindra is the nephew of actor-director Upendra. Which is why several members of his family, including his aunt Priyanka Upendra, were present at the event. Niranjan’s grandmother Anasuyamma, who is Upendra’s mother, unveiled the song.
Speaking after the screening of the song, Priyanka said, ‘this song is really good. Earlier, when the song ‘Shakalaka Boom Chakalaka …’ from the same film was released, Uppi and I had discussed making reels for it. But compared to that, I feel this song will be easier for us to dance to. I have also worked with Niranjan in a film. I always tell my son to watch him and learn from him. I wish he would continue to be a role model like this’ said Priyanka.
Director Dayal Padmanabhan, who gave Mahantesh an opportunity to work with his team early in his career and ‘Darling’ Krishna also attended the event as guests and extended their best wishes to the film.
Speaking at the event, Dayal said, ‘at a time when people felt there were no promising heroes in Kannada cinema’s second generation, Niranjan, the hero of this film, appears to be a promising actor. I liked Prem’s new look in this film. In terms of business, Kannada cinema is still at a lower level. At such a time, congratulations to the producers for making a film of this quality’ said Dayal
‘Darling’ Krishna said that Niranjan frequently shares videos of himself performing stunts on social media. ‘He is an actor who has prepared himself thoroughly in dance and action. You could call him the Hrithik Roshan of Kannada cinema’ he said, praising the cute chemistry between Niranjan and Rachana in the song.
Lead actor Niranjan Sudhindra said that he plays a media representative in the film. Rachana Inder, who is paired opposite Niranjan, said that her first shot for the film was actually filmed for this song.
Speaking on behalf of Prem, his wife Jyothi Prem revealed that he had always been interested in doing an action role and that his wish has come true with this film. She added that he underwent extensive preparation for the role. Prem, who has never smoked a cigarette in his life, even smoked for the character, she revealed.
Directed by D. Mahantesh Handral, the film is produced by Dr Garima Avinash. Sachin Basrur is the music composer.
