The official announcement of Shivarajkumar starrer ‘Original Monster’ was made in a grand event in Mumbai, where Shivarajkumar, Sunil and others were present. Now the film has been officially launched on Monday in a grand muhurat ceremony in Bangalore.
The Pan-India is being directed by R Chandru. The film is presented by Anand Pandit and produced by Yamuna Chandru under the banner of RC Studios. The film is being made simultaneously in Kannada and Hindi, with Shivarajkumar in the lead role. The event was attended by Geetha Shivarajkumar, producers Uday K Mehta and Gangadhar, among other dignitaries.
Speaking about the film, R Chandru said, ‘ever since I entered the film industry, I have received constant encouragement from the media here and it was my wish to conduct the muhurat ceremony in their presence and officially begin the shoot. The shooting of the film has commenced today. I am happy to be directing Shivarajkumar after the ‘Mylari’ and ‘Kabzaa’. Renowned Telugu actor Sunil is also playing a prominent role in the film’ said Chandru.
Chandru said that the film is being made in both Hindi and Kannada and will be released as a grand pan-India project. ‘Popular actors from across India will be part of the cast. I will share more details about them in the coming days. A massive set has also been erected at the HMT Grounds in Bengaluru, where the first schedule of the shoot will take place’ said the director.
Shivarajkumar says there is a special dimension to his character. ‘I will not accept a film unless I like its story. I liked the story that R Chandru narrated to me for this film. The word monster means a giant. But this ‘monster’ is not merely about being monstrous; there is another dimension to the character, which audiences will get to see in the film. Chandru also directs emotional sequences very well, and the emotional aspect will be one of the highlights of this film. Overall, this is a role I have never played before. My dialogues will be in a mix of Telugu and Kannada,’ said the actor.
Sunil recalled that he has watched Shivarajkumar’s ‘Om’ several times. ‘I am very happy to be acting alongside him in this film. As Shivanna mentioned, I believe the emotional aspect of this film will be loved by everyone. R Chandru has developed a very good story’ said Sunil.
‘Original Monster’ has music by Ajaneesh Lokanath, while A J Shetty is the cameraman.
