Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian 2’ directed by Shankar is all set to release in the month of June this year. Meanwhile, the team has released a new poster of the film.
‘Indian 2’ is a sequel of Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian’ which was released in 1996. The film was originally made in Tamil and was later dubbed to Telugu and Hindi with different names. While, the Telugu version of the film was called ‘Bharateeyudu’, the Hindi version was titled as ‘Hindustani.
Now the sequel will also be released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The Tamil version has already been titled as ‘Indian 2’. Now the Telugu and the Hindi versions of the film will be released with the titles ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ and ‘Hindustani 2’ respectively.
‘Indian 2’ is an action thriller is written and directed by Shankar who also directed the original. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Agarwal, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani, S J Suryah, Jayaram, Gulshan Grover and others in prominent roles. Ratnavelu and Ravi Varman are handling the cinematography, while Aniruddh Ravichander is the music composer.
‘Indian 2’ is jointly produced by Allirajah Subaskaran and Udayanidhi Stalin under Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
The exact date of release of the film is yet to be disclosed in the coming days.
