Actors Milana Nagaraj and Pruthvi Ambaar have gained the admiration of younger moviegoers with their films and performances. When both of them came together ‘For Registration’, there were a lot of expectations pinned on the film. Will the film reach up to everybody’s expectations? Let’s see.
Akshay (Pruthvi Ambaar) works for a private company. He has a double life and is secretly married to Anvita (Milana Nagraj). When Akshay and Anvita’s parents learn of their secret marriage, they bless the couple, but on one condition that the friends and relatives of both the families must attend a formal ceremony.
Soon Akshay and Anvita encounter difficulties in their relationship. The marriage suffers when Akshay begins behaving distant out of the blue. Why is there a change in Akshay? Is he in another relationship? Will the issue be solved or will their marriage fail? Forms the rest of the film.
‘For Registration’ is a rom-com with some good moments. Though it is commendable that filmmaker Naveen Dwarakanath chose this genre for his debut film, the plot seems a little out of place. The film’s script had room for improvement. Though there is a good message for the audience, a slow narration, a string of not so funny scenes and an unconvincing conflict that makes a mountain out of a molehill dampen the spirit of the film.
In spite of few negatives, what makes the film watch is some good performances. Pruthvi and Milana share a good chemistry and both are at their best in the film. Ravishankar, Babu Hiranniah, Tabla Nani, Sudha Belawadi and Swathi deliver good performances.
Music by R K Harish and cinematography by Abhilash Kalathi and Abhishek Kasaragod gets special mention. The Imran Sardariya choreographed underwater song is also one of the highlights of the film.
