Sarath Kumar is the antagonist in Puneeth’s ‘James’

Senior Tamil actor Sarath Kumar is not new to Kannada. The actor in the last one decade has acted in supporting roles in many Kannada movies. Now the actor is all set to feature as an antagonist in Puneeth’s latest film ‘James’.

Sarath Kumar has been roped into play a negative character in the film and this marks the actor’s first Kannada film as a villain. The actor will be seen in an aggressive character and will be seen in a role locking horns with Puneeth Rajkumar. The actor has already joined the sets and is busy with his portions.

The shooting for ‘James’ started last year and the team has almost completed the film and is in the last leg of the shooting. The team is busy shooting action sequences under the direction of Ram-Lakshman. After the completion of the film, Puneeth is expected to join the sets of Pawan Kumar’s ‘Lucia’ in the month of September.

‘James’ stars Puneeth Rajkumar along with Priya Anand as the female lead. The duo had worked together in ‘Rajakumara’ and this film marks the pair’s second collaboration. Apart from Puneeth and Priya, the film stars Srikanth Meka, Rangayana Raghu, Mukesh Rishi, Aditya Menon and Anu Prabhakar in prominent roles.

The film is written and directed by ‘Bahaddur’ Chethan and is bankrolled by Pathi Kishore. Charan Raj is in charge of the music, while J Swamy is the cinematographer.
