The shooting for ‘Nenapadallu Shakuntale’ starring newcomers was successfully completed and the team concluded the shooting with a special pooja at the Sri Bande Mahakalamma Temple in Bangalore.
‘Nenapadalu Shakuntale’ is presented by Kiran Halli Mysuru and produced by Vismaya K under the Vismaya Ventures banner. Vinay Chandrahasa and Viraj Kolatlu have jointly written the story, screenplay and dialogues, while Vinay Chandrahasa has directed the film.
Blending the poetic essence of mythology with modern-day romance, ‘Nenapadalu Shakuntale’ tells the love story of Parthasarathy, a young startup founder. Struggling to overcome the failure of his first love, the protagonist travels to his elder sister’s hometown. There, he meets a young woman at an old library, whose presence changes the course of his life.

The film was shot over 36 days in and around Mysuru, Kodachadri and Kodlipete. M S Prasanna Kumar has composed the music, while Pramod Maravante has penned the lyrics for all five songs. Vishal Kumar Gowda has handled the cinematography.
Drawing parallels with the ancient tale of Dushyanta and Shakuntala’s Gandharva Vivaha (a traditional form of marriage based on mutual love and consent), the film unfolds a tale woven around memories and longing.
Vinay Chandrahasa, Harshavardhan Prasad and others are a part of ‘Nenapadalu Shakuntale’ which is likely to hit the screens in November.
