Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Ramayana’ is all set to hit the screens on the 05th of November. Ahead of its release, the film’s team has begun its promotional campaign in Bengaluru, along with the launch of the international trailer.
The entire team of Ramayana gathered at Orion Mall in the city recently and shared some insights about the film. The event was attended by lead actor Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and other members of the cast and crew.
Speaking on the occasion, Yash said, ‘many people have asked me why I chose to play Ravana. Everyone needs to understand one thing. Along with making the most of the opportunities we get, we also have a responsibility to do something for the industry. In the recent times, ‘Premada Oorali’ has emerged as a major hit. The industry needs both kinds of efforts. We must venture beyond our boundaries and break down the barriers and walls that stand in our way. At the same time, we must strengthen our foundations. New talent, directors and actors must emerge and even small efforts must succeed. The level of success that Kannadigas have given us gives us courage and enthusiasm’ said Yash.
Without mentioning the name of his recently released film ‘Toxic’, Yash said, ‘I have also noticed the extent of love people have showered on me. I know how passionately you fought for it and how you went out of your way to watch that film. I can never repay that debt. I will fulfil the responsibility people have entrusted to me in a remarkable way. I believe this film will make a huge impact across the world. We are embarking on this journey on behalf of India, and I stand here representing the people of Karnataka’ said Yash.
Emphasising that the entire Indian film industry must come together to make stories of this scale, Yash said, ‘as a Kannadiga, I have now got the opportunity to be part of this film. None of us has looked at this project as just another movie. Instead, we have worked on it with devotion and dedication. We have made this film with the aspiration of telling our story, the story of our nation, to the world’ said Yash.
Stating that one must sometimes venture beyond boundaries and make efforts regardless of success or failure, Yash said, ‘such efforts become milestones in history. Sometimes, they also serve as stepping stones for those who follow. We must all come together to make this happen. If we want to conquer the world, everyone must unite and support one another. Sometimes, I see comments on social media criticising a film’s graphics or saying that an actor is not good enough. Instead of doing that, we should all come together to support good cinema. Only then can we conquer the world. Regardless of success or failure, we must continue to work with innovation and strive to do something new. Such efforts will inspire many others as well’ concluded Yash.
