There was a gossip that Kannada actor Vasishta Simha has moved to Tollywood and is busy there. The reason might be the actor had back-to-back releases in Telugu in the last two years including ‘Yevam’, ‘Simbaa’, ‘Odela 2’ and ‘Tribanadhari Barbarik’.
Now the actor is back to Kannada with a new film called ‘Kadal Kote’ which was launched last week in Suratkal, Mangalore. Vasishta says he has also heard the complaint that he is moving to Tollywood, which is not true.
Speaking on the occasion, ‘I have also heard a complaint that I have stopped acting in Kannada films and has moved to Tollywood which is not true. I am a Kannadiga and I won’t leave Sandalwood or stop acting in Kannada films. I was busy in a few projects in Telugu and couldn’t act in Kannada films last year due to prior commitments. This year I am concentrating more on Kannada films and one of my films called ‘Talwarpete’ is ready for release, while ‘Kadal Kote’ is being launched’ says Vasishta.

The actor plays a gangster in ‘Kadal Kote’. ‘Director Ranjith Gowda has written each and every character nicely and that is the reason which I chose this script. I don’t want to define it as a very different film, but a film which is not only realistic but also close to everybody’s hearts. Though this is a gangster drama, the film has a lot of moral values’ says Vasishta.
‘Kadal Kote’ is a gangster drama set in the backdrop of harbor and stars Vashishta Simha alongside Sushmitha Bhatt, Ravishankar, Achyuth Kumar, Swaraj Shetty, Sharath Lohitashwa, Tara, Bala Rajawadi, Yash Shetty in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Ranjith Kumar Gowda, while Dharmendra is producing the film under Janaki Combines. Shashank Sheshagiri is the music composer, while Nagaraj Venus Murthy is the cinematographer.
