Chikkanna’s new film ‘Jodettu’ was launched a couple of months in Bangalore. Meanwhile, the director of the film has been changed and now cinematographer Sudhakar S Raj will be directing the film.
Earlier, Mahesh Kumar of ‘Ayogya’ fame was supposed to direct the film. Due to various reasons, cinematographer Sudhakar S Raj will be replacing him as a director. This is Sudhakar’s debut film as a director and apart from directing, he will be taking the additional responsibility of cinematography also.
‘Jodettu’ is a period film set in the 1980s in the rural part of Karnataka. Chikkanna along with Tollywood actor Sunil will be playing prominent roles in the film. The title teaser of the film was launched during the muhurath of the film.

The film will be released in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil and prominent actors from all the three languages will be a part of the film. As of now special sets are being erected in Chikmagalur, where most of the shooting will be held in the coming months.
‘Jodettu’ is being produced by K T Somashekhar under Akash Enterprises. This is his third film as a producer. V Harikrishna is the music composer, while Masthi Uparahalli and Raghu Niduvalli are the dialogue writers.
