Many films are competing against each other to release before the new year and have already announced the release dates of their films. ‘Miss Match’ is all set to hit the screens as the first romantic tale of 2027.
The teaser of ‘Miss Match’ was released last month and now the team has officially announced the release date of the film in a press meet officially. ‘Miss Match’ will be releasing on the 08th of January across Karnataka.
Set in a small town in the Malnad region, the story explores the lives of a hero and heroine with contrasting mindsets. While the hero gives up city life and returns to his hometown, the heroine, despite living in the same town, dreams of an independent life in the city. Whether their dreams, aspirations and love can find common ground forms the crux of the film.
Director Sai Srinidhi said that the film is an innocent love story suitable for family audiences. It features relatable characters, humour, emotional sequences and a few action sequences as well.
Speaking about his experience, lead actor Kaushik Gowda said, ‘I entered the film industry through short films. After sharing a close association with Sai Srinidhi for nearly seven years, I got the opportunity to play the lead role in ‘Miss Match’. Working with experienced actors and technicians has been a wonderful experience,’ said Kaushik.
Lead actress Ashwita Hegde said, ‘films like ‘Mungaru Male’ and ‘Gaalipata’ are among my favourites and I am delighted to get an opportunity to act in a film belonging to this genre’ said the actress. She added that Judah Sandy’s music had further strengthened her confidence in the project.
Producer Tejas Venkatesh had earlier co-produced ‘BTS’ and was impressed by Kaushik’s performance. His desire to collaborate with the actor eventually led to the making of ‘Miss Match’. The film was shot in Chikkamagaluru for around 40 to 45 days. The producer has also launched a new music label through this project.
‘Miss Match’ features Kaushik Gowda, Ashwita Hegde, Tejesh S M and Amrutha K P in prominent roles, along with Lakshmi Siddaiah, Nagendra Shah and Aniruddha Acharya. The film has cinematography by Ganesh Mahabala and editing by Deepak Kulal. Judah Sandy has composed the music.
