Having quietly completed most of its shooting, the team of ‘Lord Gaga’ had released the film’s title and motion poster a few weeks ago. Now, the makers have unveiled the first teaser of the film.
Young filmmaker YK who had earlier directed ‘Gilky’ has written the story and screenplay and has directed the film. Being produced under the banner of Zero Gravity Films, the film is backed by Muki Regunathan.
The movie explores various aspects of the human mind, including love, romance, passion, emotions, addictions and choices. The filmmakers unanimously describe it as a romantic psychological thriller that brings these elements alive on screen. The recently released first teaser of ‘Lord Gaga’ has been crafted in a distinctive style with its unconventional presentation.

Speaking on the occasion, ‘Lord Gaga’ is a cult Indian romantic film. The film is in its final post—production stage and we are planning to release the film in the coming months. Our nails, hair doesn’t ask our permission to grow. Even our own parts don’t ask our permission. We can’t expect others to obey or ask our consent. We are conveying this through our film. Love means independence and we are discussing the other aspects of love in this film’ says YK.
Producer Muki Regunathan says, ‘last year more than two thousand films have been released across India and only three percent of the films have tasted success. Among that only one percent in Kannada have won. In the 90s out of the 100 films that were releasing a year, 50 percent of them were remakes. Why did this happen? We need original stories and we need guts to do something different. We have tried such a difference through our film’ says the producer.
Shoonya plays the lead role in the film, while Swaroopini and Disha appear as the female leads. Producer Muki Regunathan will also be seen in a prominent role. The makers are planning to release ‘Lord Gaga’ simultaneously in more than seven languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Bhojpuri.
