After the critically acclaimed ‘Hondisi Bareyiri’ which was released in 2024, Ramenahalli Jagannatha is all set to come with a new film called ‘Theertharoopa Thandeyavarige’. The work for the film is almost done and the film will be the first release of 2026 and will be releasing on the 01st of January 2026.
‘Theertharoopa Thandeyavarige’ is being written and directed by Ramenahalli Jagannatha and produced by Jai Chamundeshwari Productions. The film stars Nihar Mukesh, Rachana Inder, Sithara, Rajesh Nataranga, Ravindra Vijay, Ajith Hande, Ashwitha Hegde and others in prominent roles.
The trailer of the film was released on the Anand Audio channel of YouTube. The cast of ‘Hondisi Bareyiri’ including Aishani Shetty, Praveen Tej, Bhavana Rao, Naveen Shankar and Aniruddh Acharya released the trailer in an event in Bangalore.

Speaking about the film, Jagannath says this title was kept for another story. ‘When I and Nihar discussed about the story, we found that this title would be apt for the film. This is a very nostalgic title and kids of 80-90s used to address the letters to their fathers with the words ‘Theertharoopa Thandeyavarige’. The film is about small mistakes that happen in everybody’s families. Sometimes the mistakes would be rectified soon and sometimes it may take years. The film is about such a complex situation’ says Jagannath.
Lead actor Nihar Mukesh who hails from Mysore is a big name in Telugu small screen. ‘My career started with the small screen. I always wanted to be a part of big screen. I had watched ‘Hondisi Bareyiri’ earlier and wanted to work with Jagannath. My dream of working with him has been fulfilled through this film. I play the role of a character called Prithvi in the film. He is in search of something and what is that has to be seen in the theaters’ says Nihar.
‘Theertharoopa Thandeyavarige’ has music by Joe Costa, while Deepak Yaregara is the cinematographer.
