Dhruva Sarja is all set to start shooting for his next film ‘Criminal’ soon and the film was launched recently. Dhruva’s films are quite unpredictable, and it is very hard to say when they will finish. ‘KD – The Devil’ started three years ago, but its release date is still not known. His film ‘Martin’ also went through many changes, got delayed and fizzled out.
However, Dhruva says ‘Criminal’ will not face such delays and that the shooting will be completed by March. Speaking during the press meet after the launch, ‘shooting will begin next month. I have decided to start another film, before the previous one gets released. Life has taught me big lessons. I won’t wait for anyone anymore. If the story is ready, I will start with the next film’ says the ‘Action Prince’.
He added that the shooting of Criminal will continue without breaks. ‘We want to complete the shooting quickly. The plan is to finish it by March. I need some time for the promotions of ‘KD – The Devil’ promotions. Other than that, I will be continuously involved in shooting’ hinting that ‘KD – The Devil’ will be released before March.

Dhruva Sarja has joined hands with one film old Rajguru of ‘Kerebete’ fame. ‘I don’t care whether the director is new or experienced. For me, the story is most important. Chethan Kumar was literally newcomer when he approached me for ‘Bahaddur’. But I liked the story. Whether the director is new or old, if I like the story, I will definitely agree. This movie is based on a real incident and I liked this story a lot when I heard it. I always wanted to play such a role. I am doing this film with confidence that everyone will like it,” he said.
When asked if Criminal will have something special compared to his previous films, he replied, ‘When I worked on my earlier movies, the trend was different. Now the trend has changed. People prefer more realistic films today. Movies based on real events are liked more by the audience. You only need to act as much as the character requires. If you perform what the story needs, people appreciate it. In that sense, this will be a different attempt’ says Dhruva.
‘Criminal’ is being produced by Goldmines Telefilms the film will be released simultaneously in five languages across India. Chandan Shetty will compose the music and Vaidi will handle cinematography.
