Kannada actor Shivarajkumar who was suffering from cancer has undergone a successful surgery in the United States and has got his cancerous bladder removed. The surgeon who performed the operation has assured him a speedy recovery in the coming days.
Shivarajkumar was diagnosed with cancer a few months back. In spite of a serious illness, the actor was busy with his commitments. After the release of his latest film ‘Bhairathi Ranagal’ on the 15th of November, the actor had said that he will be going to United States for an operation.
Likewise, the actor along with his wife and daughter went to America on the 18th of December. He was admitted to Miami Cancer Institute in Miami, where he was operated by well-known surgeon Dr. Murugesh Manohar on Tuesday (December 24th). After the successful operation, the surgeon along with the family members has sent a video message to his fans in Karnataka.
Speaking after the surgery, ‘Shivarajkumar is stable even after the surgery and all his health parameters are normal. Given his strong personality, I expect him to recover quickly and return to his normal life within a few weeks’ said the surgeon.
Shivarajkumar’s wife Geetha Shivarajkumar also expressed her happiness about the successful surgery and mentioned that Shivanna is shifted to the ICU and is under complete rest. Geetha Shivarajkumar said that Shivarajkumar will speak to his fans in the coming days soon. Geetha’s brother Madhu Bangarappa is also with Shivarajkumar’s family in America.
Shivarajkumar is expected to be back in the country by the 26th of January 2025. Before leaving for the US, the actor had not only wished his fans a Happy New Year, but had also wished actors Upendra and Sudeep for their film ‘UI’ and ‘Max’ which were released recently.
