Darshan starrer ‘Devil’ which has been halted due to the actor’s injury will be resuming shooting soon. Meanwhile, the release date of the film has been finally announced and the film will be hitting the theaters during the Christmas season this year.
‘Devil’ was supposed to release in October. During the ‘Kaatera’ event itself, Darshan had announced that the film will be hitting the screens in October this year However, due to an injury and a surgery on Darshan’s left hand, the shooting has been stalled and the film’s release was said to be delayed further.
Now the team has officially announced with a new poster that the film will be released during the Christmas season. The exact date has to be announced officially.
Meanwhile, actress Rachana Rai who is looking forward for the release of ‘Bhuvanam Gaganam’, ‘Ashoka Blade’ and others has been roped in as the heroine opposite Darshan in his new film ‘Devil’. The makers recently welcomed the actress on board.
Rachana started her career in Tulu film ‘Circus’ and has also acted in a few Kannada films. Even before the release of those films, the actress has been roped in as the heroine of the most anticipated film of the year.
‘Devil – The hero’ marks the return of Darshan and Prakash after ‘Tarak’. The film is being produced by Prakash’s mother J Jayamma under Sri Jaimatha Combines and Vaishno Studios banner. Sudhakar S Raj is the cinematographer, while Ajaneesh Lokanath is the music composer.
Bollywood actor and director Mahesh Manjrekar plays a prominent role in the film.
