Actor Shishir Balkady who made his debut with last year’s hit film ‘Daredevil Musthafa’, is back with a new film. This time he will be sharing screen space with ‘Duniya’ Vijay and his daughter Ritanya in a new film which is tentatively titled as ‘VK 29’.
‘Daredevil Musthafa’ which is based on the short story of the same name by K P Poornachandra Tejaswi was released last year and the film went on to become a hit at the box-office. The actor was acclaimed for his performance and Shishir Balkady even went on to win Best Debutant Actor awards in a few events.
However, the actor had not signed any film after ‘Daredevil Musthafa’. Just when he was about to be forgotten, the actor is back with ‘VK 29’. Shishira will be playing the love interest of ‘Duniya’ Vijay’s daughter Ritanya in the film.
Speaking about bagging a role in the film, ‘director Jadesh had called me up for this role. He is a very honest director. I play the love interest of Ritanya in the film. I am lucky to be a part of this film’ says Shishira.
‘VK 29’ is being inspired from K Shivaram Karanth’s ‘Chomana Dudi’ and Vijay’s character is based on the character of Choma. The shooting for the film will be held in Kolar, Gudibande and other places. Rachita Ram plays the female lead opposite ‘Duniya’ Vijay in the film.
The film is being written and directed by Jadesh Hampi and produced by Satyaprakash who had earlier produced Darshan starrer ‘Sarathi’.
