Actress Pooja Gandhi who is popularly known as the ‘Male Hudugi’ in Sandalwood married Vijay Ghorpade on Wednesday as per the ‘Mantra Mangalya’, a model of marriage started by Jnanapeeth Awardee Kuvempu.
There was a buzz in the last few days that ‘Mungaru Male’ fame actress would be wedding businessman Vijay Ghorpade. A couple of days back the actress announced the marriage in a handwritten letter in Kannada.
Likewise, the marriage was held at the Aarambha Banquet Hall in Yelahanka. Many from the film fraternity including Yogaraj Bhatt, KFCC former president Ba Ma Harish, Sudharani, Anu Prabhakar, P H Vishwanath, Kaviraj and others attended the wedding and wished Pooja and Vijay a happy married life.
‘Mantra Mangalya’ is a model where in the couple exchange vows in Kannada without a priest. The members or friends of the couple officiate the marriage which is minimal at cost.
Off late, Pooja Gandhi is away from the Kannada film industry and has not acted in any films.
