Actor Sudeep’s latest film ‘Vikrant Rona’ might not have got a great response from the audience or was the film a big hit at the box-office. But the actor says he is very proud of the film.
Sudeep recently celebrated his birthday (September 02nd) with his fans after a gap of three years. The fans of the actor thronged his residence from the wee hours of the morning and Sudeep spent the day with his fans who came to wish him from across Karnataka. Meanwhile, the actor spoke to media persons about ‘Vikrant Rona’ and his upcoming films.

‘Vikrant Rona’ was a PAN Indian film released on the 28th of July across the globe. While, the technical aspects including the cinematography, background music and art work of the film were much appreciated by everybody, the film drew flak for its screenplay and slow pace. The film is directed by Anup Bhandari and produced by Jack Manjunath.
‘As an actor I want to do all kinds of films. ‘Vikrant Rona’ has given me a sense of happiness and I am proud of the quality of the film. If the film was not good, then people would have not talked about it across the country. We have done a good job and the producer is also happy with the film’ said Sudeep.
Sudeep says new experiments have to be done with every film. ‘We can’t go anywhere if we do the routine kind of cinema. We have to do experiments often. Because of ‘Vikrant Rona’ new windows got open across the country. We got a lot of new audience. We have to do commercial films. Apart from that we have to attempt something different. We must not stick on to the regular format of songs and dongs. We were very honest in terms of the script for this film. It was not the regular commercial cinema’ said Sudeep.
When asked whether the film made profits, the actor said that the film made profits more than the makers expected.
