Kannada director Prashanth Raj’s Tamil film with Kollywood actor Santhanam has been titled as ‘Kick’ and the title was revealed on the occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi on Wednesday.
The first look poster Santhanam’s ‘Kick’ was released by well known Kollywood director Gautham Vasudeva Menon.
Prashanth Raj of ‘Love Guru’, ‘Zoom’ fame Prashanth Raj directing a film for well known Kollywood comedian Santhanam is not new. The film was launched in April this year in Bangalore and Tanya Hope was roped in as the female lead.
Though Prashanth Raj has not revealed anything about the film, sources say it is the remake of his hit Kannada film ‘Zoom’ starring Ganesh and Radhika Pandit in lead roles. Santhanam plays the role of ad professional. Tanya plays the role of his competitor.
‘Kick’ stars Santhanam, Tanya Hope, Ragini Dwivedi, Bhagyaraj, Senthil, Kovai Sarala, Brahmanandam and others in prominent roles. The shooting for the film is already completed and the film is likely to hit the screens by this year end. One of the highlights of the film, many Kannada technicians including cinematographer Sudhakar Raj, music director Arjun Janya are working for this film. Prashanth’s brother Naveen is producing the film under Fortune Productions.
