Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and Tara were given Special Awards by Sri Raghavendra Chitravani for their contribution to the Kannada film industry.
The annual Sri Raghavendra Chitravani Awards were started by Kannada film industry’s leading PRO D V Sudheendhra 18 years back. After the demise of DVS in 2006, his nephew Venkatesh who is popularly known as Sudheendhra Venkatesh in film circles continued the tradition his uncle started and has been giving away awards continuously.
The 47th Anniversary of Sri Raghavendra Chitravani and the 21st and 22nd Annual Awards Ceremony was held recently in Bangalore. The awards were presented to the deserved for their contribution in the field of cinema in a grand event. A total of 16 awards were given away for the years 2021 and 2022.
Shailaja Vijay Kiragandur received the Special Award on behalf of her husband Vijay Kiragandur. Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and Tara lauded the efforts of Venkatesh and thanked Sri Raghavendra Chitravani for the award.
