Prem to meet CM Basavaraja Bommai regarding piracy issue

Kannada, News

Director ‘Jogi’ Prem has decided to meet Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai next week regarding the piracy issue.

Piracy of Kannada films has been rampant for the last few years and many celebrities including Sudeep, Rishab Shetty and others have been urging the Government to take strict action against piracy. Though the Government is doing its bit, it has not been able to curb piracy completely.

Prem’s ‘Ek Love Ya’ was released on the 25th of February across the state. However, the pirated version of the film was easily available in Telegram. Speaking regarding this during a press conference, the actor-director said he will be meeting Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai and will be giving a memorandum regarding the piracy issue.

‘Because of the piracy, our films are being killed. Once a film is uploaded, it will be shared by thousands of people. I request viewers not to share the pirated version, instead watch the film in theaters’ said Prem.

‘Ek Love Ya’ stars Prem’s brother-in-law and Rakshitha’s brother Abhishek alias Rana as hero. Reeshma Nanaiah is the heroine. Rachita Ram, ‘Shishya’ Deepak, Shashikumar and others play prominent roles in the film. The film is produced by Prem’s wife and actress Rakshitha under Rakshitha Film Factory.

The film is written and directed by Prem. While, Arjun Janya has composed the music, ace photographer Mahendra Simha has handled the cinematography.
