A short film called ‘Amruthanjan’ wrote a history in YouTube a couple of years back. The comic short film which featured mostly newcomers went on to be a super hit and made way for many such films in the future. ‘Amruthanjan’ became a trendsetter for coming short films in Kannada.
Now the team of ‘Amruthanjan’ is all set to make an entry to big screen with a film of the same name. Jyothi Rao Mohith who had earlier directed ‘A Great Story of Sodabuddi’ has scripted the film, apart from directing it.
Speaking about the film, ‘my film was a failure and after that I couldn’t do a film. When in leisure, I directed the short movie ‘Amruthanjan’ which was not only a super hit, but created history. After that when I was thinking of making a comeback to cinema, we planned to bring ‘Amruthanjan’ to big screen. We have done all, which is needed for a full-length feature film. We have reworked the whole script for more than a year and has rehearsed for more than three months. We have given prominence to laughter in each and every scene. We have tried to convey some new thoughts in this film. This film is for the whole family’ says Jyothi Rao Mohith.
‘Amruthanjan’ features Gowrav Shetty, Sudhakar Gowda, Pallavi Parva, Payal Chengappa, Sribhavya and others in prominent roles. The film is already censored and is all set to hit the screens on the 30th of January.
