Yash shouts as Raya in a bold reveal on his birthday

To celebrate actor-producer Yash’s birthday, the team behind ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ released a first look of his character, Raya on Thursday (January 08). The announcement is powerful and grabs attention from the very start.

Before this teaser, the character introduction posters of Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria were released, hereby depicting that the film is not only about Yash, but about strong characters and a story shaped by many people.

Now, the teaser introduces the central force of the movie — Raya, played by Yash. The teaser begins in a quiet cemetery that suddenly explodes into action. Gunshots break the silence, people run and through the smoke comes Raya.

The newly released teaser gives a bigger and more exciting look at the world of ‘Toxic’, full of action and striking visuals. As an actor, co-writer and co-producer, Yash is exploring new territory with darker themes, complex ideas and a global style of storytelling.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ was filmed in both Kannada and English. It will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages

The movie has a strong technical team, including National Award–winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music by Ravi Basrur, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni and production design by TP Abid. The action scenes are large and intense, led by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick) along with National Award–winning action directors Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic will be released in theaters worldwide on 19 March 2026 on the occasion of Ugadi.
