It’s been nearly three years since a film of actor Manoranjan has been released. The actor who the son of actor-director V Ravichandran, was last seen in ‘Prarambha’ which was released in 2022. Now Manoranjan is back with a new film called ‘Kaunteya’.
‘Kaunteya’ was recently launched in Bangalore and the shooting is in progress. The shooting for the film has been mostly held in and around Mysore and nearly 70 percent of the shoot has been completed.
The film is touted to be murder mystery with Achyuth Kumar seen in the role of a police officer, while Manoranjan is seen in a negative role in the film. Looks like the actor is in an experimental mode and this is the first time, that Manoranjan will be seen in a negative character. Even Manoranjan’s getup in the film will also be different from what we have seen till now.
Ananya Rajesh plays the female lead opposite Manoranjan in the film. This is the debut of Ananya and the actress is pretty excited to land up a role in a film, which have an ensemble star cast. Actress Priyanka Thimmesh is in the role of an ACP in the film, while Sharanya Shetty plays the role of Achyuth’s daughter in the movie.
‘Kaunteya’ is being produced by Suresh Kumar under Sri Mahankali Pictures. The film is written and directed by B K Chandrahasa.
Speaking about the film, ‘’Kaunteya’s is the other name of Karna in Mahabharatha. The film revolves around who is Karna in this film. The film is a murder mystery and is an edge of the seat entertainer. This is not the typical murder mystery and the highlight of the film is the screenplay. We are all set to release the first look of the film soon’ says B K Chandrahasa.
