It’s not new that versatile actor Amitabh Bachchan acting in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. But the makers had not revealed what’s his character in the film.
The makers on Sunday dropped a teaser with an announcement about the character played by Amitabh Bachchan. The ‘Big B’ will be essaying the role of the immortal Ashwatthama in the magnum opus.
The Bollywood actor shared a poster in his X account regarding his character in the film. ‘It’s been an experience for me like no other. The mind to think such a product, the execution, the exposure to modern technology and above all the company of colleagues with stratospheric Super Star presence’ wrote the actor.
The teaser features him praying in front of a Shiva Linga in a cave temple. A child asks who is he and he replies, ‘since ancient times, I have waited the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona’s son Ashwatthama’.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani and others in prominent roles. The makers had earlier released a new poster of Prabhas on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. Prabhas is said to play the role of Bhairava in the film.
‘Kalki 2989 AD’ is a sci-fi film made on the budget of 500 crores. The pan-Indian film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam on the 09th of May across the globe.
