Well known Bollywood music composer who is known for his films like ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Queen’, ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘Dear Zindagi’, ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Udta Punjab’ and others have been roped in as the music composer for Dhananjay starrer ‘Uttarakaanda’.
This is Amit’s debut film as a music composer in Kannada and second in South. Amit had already composed music for Chiranjeevi starrer Pan Indian film ‘Syeraa Narasimha Reddy’.
Earlier, it was said that Charan Raj of ‘Tagaru’ and ‘Salaga’ fame will be composing the music for the film. Now Amit has replaced Charan in the film.
The shooting for ‘Utttarakaanda’ will commence soon. Recently, the team visited the Hanuman Temple in Dharwad and took the blessings of the god and the shooting for the film will start this month.
Earlier, actress Ramya who was supposed to play the female lead in the film after a long hiatus has now opted out of the film due to unavailability of dates. Now the team has to finalise another actress for the role of Ramya.
‘Uttarakaanda’ is a tale of gangsters from the lands of the north and Dhananjay is said to be playing a gangster in this film. The film is being produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj of KRG Studios and directed by Rohit Padaki.
