Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ had human versus nature as its theme. Now Prajwal’s new film is all set to tell the story of animals versus human. The film is being directed by Gurudutt Ganiga and the title teaser of the film has been released recently.
Just after ‘Ambi Ninge Vayassaitho’ there was news that Gurudutt Ganiga will be directing a film for Prajwal. However, the film didn’t take off due to various reasons and now Prajwal and Gurudutt has joined hands for ‘Karavali’. This is Gurudutt’s second film as a director and Prajwal’s 40th as an actor.
The coastal region of Karnataka is called Karavali and as the title itself suggests, the story is set in the coastal region. The coastal flavour including Yakshagana, Kambala, Daiva and other customs can be seen in this film. Prajwal is said to be seen in a never played role in the film.
‘Karavali’ has music by Sachin Basrur and cinematography by Abhimanyu Sadanandan. The shooting for the film is likely to start in Mangalore and other places in the month of January.
