While the shooting for ‘Karnatabalam Ajeyam’ has already started in Badami, the shooting for ‘Sainika 2’ will be launched early next year. One of the highlights is, C P Yogeeshwar who was away from acting for the last 25 years is also acting in the film.

Veteran director Naganna is directing ‘Karnatabalam Ajeyam’, while Puneeth Rudranag is directing ‘Sainika 2’. Though ‘Sainika 2’ has been launched now, the shooting for the film will start only next year after the release of ‘Karnatabalam Ajeyam’. The team is planning to release ‘Karnatabalam Ajeyam’ during the Sankranti season next year. Both films are being produced by Sheela Yogeeshwar under PMK Productions.

Speaking on the occasion, ‘I entered the Kannada film industry as an actor nearly 40 ago before stepping into politics. Now I am returning to cinema, while my son Dhyan is making his debut as a lead actor through these two films. My son has undergone all the necessary preparation required to become a hero. Both of us are acting together in these films’ said Yogeeshwar.

Dhyan expressed his happiness about making his debut. ‘I am extremely happy to be entering the Kannada film industry as a hero. I have prepared myself thoroughly for acting and continue to learn a great deal from my directors and the team’ said Dhyan.

Director Naganna said that, ‘our country’s rich history deserves to be passed on to future generation, and cinema is one of the most effective mediums to do so. ‘Karnatabalam Ajeyam’ is a story set across two different time periods. It depicts how Badami looked during the reign of Emperor Pulakeshi in the 6th century and contrasts it with present-day Badami’ said the veteran director.

V Harikrishna is the music composer, while Shekar Chandra is the cinematographer. Jagapathi Babu, Laya and others play prominent roles in the film.
