69th National Film Awards: Rakshit receives award

Actor-producer Rakshit Shetty received the Best Kannada Film Award from President Draupadi Murmu at the 69th National Film Awards organized in Vigyan Bhawan on Tuesday.

This time ‘777 Charlie’ which is produced by Rakshit Shetty and directed by Kiranraj was acknowledged the best film in Kannada. Rakshit Shetty apart from producing the film has also acted in it. Rakshit along with Kiranraj received the awards.

Apart from this, Aniruddh Jatkar has also received an award in the non-feature category for his film ‘Baale Bangara’ based on the life of actress Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan. Senior Journalist B N Subramanya received the Best Critics Award (Special Mention) for his writings.

Among the winners who received the awards this time were Alia Bhatt (Best Actress for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’) and Kriti Sanon (Best Actress for ‘Mimi’), Allu Arjun (Best Actor for ‘Pushpa’), Pankaj Tripathi (Best Supporting Actor for ‘Mimi), Pallavi Joshi (Best Supporting actress for ‘The Kashmir Files’) and others.

Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman won the Dada Saheb Phalke award for her contribution to Indian Cinema.
