Srivatsa Rao says he has done two years research before doing the film. ‘Nearly 5 lakh people die every year because of suicide. They are all educated, but still end their lives. Behind most of the suicides, there lies black magic. The film is based on a lot of real examples. ‘Gadayuddha’ is not a horror film, but a family film and I have tried to explain a complex issue in a scientific way’ says Srivatsa.

Debutante Sumit says he always wanted to be a professional cricketer. ‘Due to back injury I could not continue playing cricket. I had a liking for cinematography and direction also. I met Srivatsa Rao to be an associate for him, but ended up playing a hero’ says Sumit.
