Multilingual actor Sarath Babu (71) who has been ailing from multiple organ damage from the last few days has breathed his last in AIG Hospital in Hyderabad on Monday afternoon.
Sarath Babu was admitted to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad last month as his health was deteriorating. The actor was critical and was undergoing treatment for multiple-organ damage.
Meanwhile, there was news earlier this month that the actor is no more. Fans and celebrities posted condolences on their social media pages.
However, the actor’s family rubbished it saying it as a fake. Sarath Babu’s sister updated about his health saying that the actor is on the road to recovery. The family also requested everyone not to believe news in social media. But the fans and the film fraternity were in a shock on Monday when it was officially announced that the actor has breathed his last. Many celebrities across the South Indian film industries have offered their condolences for the death of the actor.

Sarath Babu acted in more than 200 films in the last five dates. Though he made his debut in 1973, he gained name and fame in the Tamil film ‘Nizhal Nijamagiradhu’ directed by K Balachander. Though he worked predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema, he worked in Kannada and other languages also.
Sarath Babu made his debut in Kannada with the horror film ‘Tulasidala’ which was released in 1984 and later went on to act in films like ‘Shakthi’, ‘Amruthavarshini’, ‘Neela’, ‘Brindavana’ and others. Sarath Babu’s last film is ‘Malli Pelli’ is yet to be released. He is seen in the role of Tollywood Superstar Krishna and the film has been dubbed to Kannada as ‘Matte Maduve’.
