Kannada, News

It’s a big shock for actor turned politician Nikhil Kumar. The actor who contested in the recently concluded Legislative Assembly elections has lost in Ramanagara constituency.

With losing for the second time consecutively, will Nikhil continue in politics or will he return back to Sandalwood as an actor is a question on everybody’s lips.

Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’ son Nikhil Kumar made his debut as a hero in ‘Jaguar’ in 2016. He went on to act in films like ‘Kurukshetra’, ‘Seetharama Kalayana’ and ‘Rider’ after that.

Meanwhile, the actor contested the Lok Sabha elections from Janatha Dal Secular seat in Mandya in 2018 and lost to Sumalatha Ambarish who contested as an independent candidate. After that he acted in films like ‘Rider’ and ‘Yaduveera’.

But Nikhil’s father Kumaraswamy had announced that Nikhil will be contesting the Member of Parliament elections in 2024 once again. But due to a pressure from the party and people, Nikhil contested the Assembly elections and has lost badly. This is not only a big shock to him, but also to his family and the party.

Nikhil’s family and JDS had pinned a lot of hopes on Nikhil this time. However, Nikhil failed to live up to their expectations due to various reasons. Now after losing elections, what would be Nikhil’s next move?

Before getting active in politics last year, Nikhil had half completed ‘Yaduveera’ being directed by debutante Manju Atharva. ‘Yaduveera’ is an action entertainer and is jointly produced by Nisha Venkat Konanki and Supreeth under KVN Productions. However, the film was stopped due to various reasons.

Will Nikhil contest the MP elections again next year or will he return back to acting once again? Are the questions that are to be answered in the coming days.
