K P Poornachandra Tejaswi’s popular short story ‘Daredevil Musthafa’ is all set to hit the screens on the 19th of May. Meanwhile, the team is promoting the film in a unique way.
The first week of the release is very crucial for anytime. If the film gets appreciated in the first week, naturally the film will pull the crowds in the coming week. The makers of ‘Daredevil Musthafa’ are selling fan badges (physical and digital) worth Rs 50. There will be a unique coupon code behind the badge. This badge is not a replacement of the movie ticket and a separate ticket must be bought to watch the film. After watching the film, a photo or screenshot of the movie ticket, the coupon code and UPI ID must be sent to a Whatsapp number. ‘Daredevil Musthafa’ is a crowd funded film produced by fans of the Late K P Poornachandra Tejaswi. The team says they don’t have mega budgets to pay for the ads and are diverting those budgets to the audience itself. The makers want to give 100 Rs cash back as a token of gratitude for watching the film in the first week of its release. Assured footfalls in the first week may help the film sustain a longer theatrical run. Already more than 2000 badges have been sold in the last few days and the team intends to sell more in the coming days.
‘Daredevil Musthafa’ is being directed by debutante Shashank Soghal. Shishir Balkady is seen in the titular role of Musthafa in the film. Apart from Shishir, Aditya Shree, Abhay, Supreeth Bharadwaj, Aashith, Srivatsa, M S Umesh, Mandya Ramesh, Sundar Veena, Nagabhushana, Harini, Poornachandra Mysore and others play prominent roles in the film.
