Actor and Rajya Sabha MP Jaggesh says that it is his fans who urge him to continue acting in films even after being in the tinsel town for the last four decades.
Jaggesh was speaking during the success meet of his latest film ‘Raghavendra Stores’ which was released across Karnataka on the 28th of April.
‘It’s been a long time since I visited theaters and watched my film with fans. After a long time I visited more than theaters for ‘Raghavendra Stores’. I got a lot of energy during my visit. I interacted with many of my fans during the occasion. A couple told me that the story is very similar to that of their real life. An elderly man told me that it’s been ages since he watched a film in the theater. Their encouraging words were very touching. I am 60 now and many tell me to forget the age and keep on entertaining them. It is very overwhelming to hear such words. I am very lucky’ says Jaggesh.

Speaking about Santhosh Anandaram, ‘he is a fine tuned director. I have seen many directors who shoot their film for years. But Santhosh Anandaram sits for the pre-production for more than one year and finishes the shooting in 40 days. Santhosh understands the pulse of not only the audience, but also of the producers. He had written an extraordinary scene to showcase my talent. The scene was of two minutes length. However, he deleted the scene because it looked like an extra’ says Jaggesh.
Jaggesh plays the role of Hayavadana a middle aged cook who is looking for a bride in ‘Raghavendra Stores’. ‘Raghavendra Stores’ is written and directed by Santhosh Anandaram, while Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films is the producer.
The film stars Jaggesh, Dattanna, Ravishankar Gowda, Achyuth Kumar, Shwetha Srivatsav, Chitkala Biradar, Mitra and others play prominent roles in the film. Ajaneesh Lokanath is the music composer.
