Well known writer Vijayendra Prasad of ‘Baahubali’ fame and cinematographer-director Govind Nihalani will be the chief guests of the opening ceremony of BIFFES in Bangalore.
The 14th edition of the Bangalore International Film Festival is all set to kick start from the 23rd of March in Bengaluru and a grand event is being planned. Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai will be inaugurating the Film Festival, while Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Rajeev Chandrashekhar will be the chief guests at the event.
Vijayendra Prasad who is also a Rajya Sabha Member will be releasing the Memoir, Govind Nihalani, Ramya Krishnan, Abhishek Ambarish, Sapthami Gowda will also be a part of the event as special guests. The event is organized in front of Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore.
Sandalwood film ‘Kantara’ written and directed by Rishab Shetty will be the opening film of the weeklong festival. More than 200 films from India and abroad will be screened in this festival in various categories.
The Bangalore International Film Festival is jointly organized by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and the Information Department of Karnataka. The screening will be held in 11 screens in PVR Cinemas in Orion Mall along with Dr Raj Bhavan and Suchitra Film Academy.
