‘Hondisi Bareyiri’ discusses life and the numerous ways that youth of the current generation are coping with it.
In a nutshell, the movie is about four college friends and their transition in life. Before the story takes a serious turn, the first half is filled with a series of pranks, college elections and fight between senior and junior students, falling in love, tragedy and campus placements.
While the first half is more or less the fundamentals of college days filled with the usual fun and drama, the second half of this movie is what the film about. It adds value to the whole viewing experience. Living each day as it comes is the basic tenet of existence. Debutante director Ramenahalli Jagannath conveys this message through a variety of characters and incidents.
Though the film is slow, it doesn’t bore the audience. The audience is kept glued to their seats till the end because of a proper blend of humour and seriousness.
‘Hondisi Bareyiri’ boasts of a good star cast mainly from the present generation. It is quite difficult to choose one actor as the best of the bunch when there are so many performers sharing screen space. Praveen Tej, Naveen Shankar, Aishani Shetty, Samyukta Hornad, Shri Mahadev, Archana Jois, Bhavana Rao and others have done justice to their roles.
The other highlights of the film are a neat presentation backed with some soulful music and lyrics. A few songs add intrigue to the emotional journey. ‘Hondisi Bareyiri’ is a series film with a touch of humour. Not only for the youths, the film is watchable by the entire family.
