Well known actress Shwetha Chengappa has made a comeback to big screen after a 16 year gap with this week’s release ‘Vedha’. The actress was last seen in Darshan starrer ‘Thangigaagi’.
Shwetha Chengappa is said to have a powerful in the movie and the actress is excited to make a comeback with ‘Vedha’. The actress is said to have played the role of a prostitute in the film.
‘It’s been nearly 16 years since I acted in a film. Off late, I was busy with small screen. I was waiting for a powerful role to make a comeback and it was director A Harsha who convinced me to take up the role. It’s a very strong role and I am happy that I am a part of the film’ says Shwetha.
‘Vedha’ is a periodic thriller sets in the 1960s and has a tagline of ‘The Brutal 1960s. The film is being directed by A Harsha. Gaanavi Laxman, Aditi Sagar, Raghu Shimoga, Umashree and others play prominent roles in the film.
The film marks the debut of Shivarajkumar’s wife Geetha Shivarajkumar to film production. The film is Shivarajkumar’s 125th film and is being released in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
