‘Challenging Star’ Darshan on Wednesday night has thanked his fans and celebrities for standing with him and has said that such events make a person stronger and not weaker.
An unidentified person had hurled a slipper at Sandalwood actor ‘Challenging Star’ Darshan during the song release event of his forthcoming film ‘Kranti’ on Sunday. This incident shook the Kannada film industry and many celebrities including Shivarajkumar, Sudeep, Ramya, Dhananjay, Srimurali, Vasishta Simha, Sangeetha Sringeri, Sumalatha Ambarish, Jaggesh, Prem, Priyanka Upendra, Prajwal and others took to social media to condemn the incident.
In spite of all this, Darshan had not said anything about the incident. Finally on Wednesday night, Darshan has thanked all who stood by him during the hour of crisis. The actor has written a letter and has posted in his social media accounts.
‘I realised that my celebrities (fans) were more hurt than me at this point. Such events make a person stronger and not weaker. We have seen similar examples in our own land. Thanks to all the friends and actors of the film industry who stood for justice at this time. Thanks to also to some who tried to steer this event down the wrong path. I have been saying since the beginning that if there are people who want to crush you, then there will be millions to protect. I am forever indebted to your loving embrace’ said Darshan.
