Mumbai: Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films the producer of ‘Kantara’ has confirmed that ‘Kantara 2’ will be made for sure, but there is no timeline for the release of the film.
‘We are very much elated with the response to ‘Kantara’ and the company will soon start developing either a prequel or sequel to the film. Rishab is away and once he is back, we will discuss what we want to do, a sequel or a prequel. We will have something in a couple of months. We definitely have plans for ‘Kantara 2’ but there’s no timeline” Vijay Kiragandur.
‘Kantara’ is set in a village background and the film has a Man Vs Nature theme as its backdrop. The film has been shot in many coastal places of Karnataka. Reportedly mounted on a meager budget of Rs 16 crores, the movie has earned over Rs 400 crores worldwide at the box office.
‘Kantara’ stars Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar and Kishore and others. Vijay Kumar Kiragandur of Hombale Films has produced the film.
The film has completed a successful 50 day run in and is marching towards 100 days.
