Hombale Films led by Vijay Kiragandur which is one of the top production houses in India from Karnataka has forayed into Tamil cinema with ‘Raghu Thatha’.
Hombale Films has produced films in Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. For some time, there was news that the Hombale will produce in Tamil and Hindi cinema also. The production house on Sunday officially announced that it will be producing a Tamil film for the first time and Keerthy Suresh will be playing a prominent role in this women centric film.
‘Raghu Thatha’ marks the first collaboration between National Award winning actor Keerthy Suresh and Hombale films. Keerthy has worked extensively in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films with several hits to her name.
Senior actor M.S Bhaskar, Devadarshini, Ravindra Vijay, Anandsami and Rajesh Balakrishnan also feature in prominent roles. The story is written and directed by Suman Kumar, the award winning writer of the hit series ‘The Family Man’ who also makes his directorial debut with this film.
‘Raghu Thatha’ has already been launched and the film is expected to hit the screens in summer 2023. Apart from this, Hombale is producing Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’, Fahad Faazil’s ‘Dhoomam’, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Tyson’, Srimurali’s ‘Bhagheera’ and others.
