With the Kozhikode District Court in Kerala lifting the ban against ‘Varaha Roopam’ song from ‘Kantara’, the song is black on all platforms from Saturday including Theaters and YouTube.

Earlier, Kerala’s popular musical band Thaikkudam Bridge have accused makers of ‘Kantara’ for plagiarising their popular song ‘Navarasam’ and had moved to Court. The Court in turn had asked the makers of ‘Kantara’ to not to use the song in any of the platforms. The court ruled in favour of Thaikkudam Bridge and imposed an interim injunction against the song.

Later, The Kozhikode District Court in Kerala dismissed the plea saying that the ragas of both the songs were different and not similar. So, the interim order against the ‘Varaha Roopam’ was cancelled and the song was allowed to be played in any of the platforms.

According to that, the original ‘Varaha Roopam’ song is made available in Theaters, You Tube, Jio Saavan, Wynk Music and other platforms. However, the OTT has the new version of the song, which will be replaced by original soon.
