The second season of ‘Nammamma Superstar’ was launched recently. Meanwhile, the team is all set to bring in a special episode on the occasion of Deepavali this week.
The first season of the show was launched last year in Colors Kannada and it went on to become a huge hit. ‘Nammamma Superstar’ featured the children of popular celebrities. The show was a huge hit and it paved way for the second season.
Master Anand’s daughter Vanshika Anjani Kashyap who won the first season of the show is hosting the second edition of ‘Nammamma Superstar’ along with Niranjan Deshapande. Srujan Lokesh, Tara and Anu Prabhakar are the judges and Srujan is producing the show under his Lokesh Productions banner.
The team has planned a special episode on the occasion of Deepavali and the shooting for the show was held in Akshaya Studios in Bangalore recently. The episodes will be aired during this weekend.
Speaking during the occasion, ‘the first season was a huge hit and the participants earned a big name for themselves. This is the reason for the launch of the second season. The first season featured only celebrities, but here the team has auditioned thousands of people across Karnataka and has handpicked a few and they will be featured along with the celebrities’ said Tara.
Srujan Lokesh says he is very happy with the way the show is shaping up. ‘It’s been eight years since I launched this production house and we have been successful till now. The success of not only this show, but other shows like ‘Raja Rani’, ‘Gichchi Giligili’ and others is because of the direction department and the participants’ credited Srujan Lokesh.
‘Nammamma Superstar’ is being aired every Saturday and Sunday night in Colors Kannada.
