‘Sandalwood Queen’ Ramya is all set to make a comeback to films with a new film called ‘Swathi Muttina Male Haniye’. The film is being directed by Raj B Shetty. Raj also plays a prominent role in the film alongside Ramya.
Last month, Ramya had announced during the Ganesha festival that she will be producing films and Web series through her new production house called AppleBox Studios. Likewise, Ramya has announced ‘Swathi Muttina Male Haniye’ as the first film from her production house. Ramya on Wednesday morning took to social media and has announced the film.
Ramya says she was floored by the story of ‘Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye’ when Raj first narrated it to her. The film is produced by AppleBox Studios in association with Lighter Buddha Films.
Ramya apart from producing the film will also be playing a prominent role in it. Raj B Shetty apart from writing and directing it will also star in it. The title is derived from ‘Swathi Muttina Male Haniye’ song from the film on ‘Bannada Gejje’.
‘Swathi Muttina Male Haniye’ is currently in its pre-production stage and is slated to go on floors soon. The film will have Raj’s technical team from ‘Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana’, which includes composer Mithun Mukundan and cinematographer Praveen Shriyan.
