Exclusive: Kabir Bedi makes his debut in Kannada with ‘Hunter’

Internationally acclaimed Indian actor Kabir Bedi has made his debut in Kannada with ‘Real Star’ Upendra’s nephew Niranjan Sudhindra’s new film ‘Hunter’ being directed by Vinay Krishna.

The veteran actor is currently busy shooting for his portions in Mysore. Though the team has not divulged any details about Kabir Bedi’s role, he is said to be playing a prominent role in the film.

Kabir Bedi is an internationally acclaimed name and has involved himself in not only films, but also stage and television. He made his debut in ‘Hulchul’ which was released in 1971 and went on to act in hundreds of films in multiple languages. He is best known in Italy for playing the pirate ‘Sandokan’ in the popular Italian TV series and for the villainous role of Gobinda in James Bond film ‘Octopussy’. Kabir Bedi has acted as a supporting as well as in villain roles in many films and this is his third film in south and first in Kannada.

‘Hunter’ was announced last year and the film was launched in February this year. A grand launch was held at the Kalavidara Sangha in Bangalore and Upendra and Priyanka Upendra had come over as chief guests and had launched the film.

Vinay Krishna had earlier directed Chiranjeevi Sarja’s ‘Seizer’. ‘Hunter’ marks his second film as a director and the film is produced by Trivikrama Saphalya under his Trivikram Productions.

‘Hunter’ stars Niranjan Sudhindra, Sowmya Menon, Kabir Bedia, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar and others in prominent roles. Chandan Shetty will be composing the music for the film.
