The shooting for Dhruva’s next film to be directed by ‘Jogi’ Prem is likely to start from October. Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is likely to be a part of this PAN-Indian film.
Recently, there was news that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is a part of this film. Now Kannada Screens has learnt that Shilpa Shetty is also a part of the film and is playing a prominent role in it. The makers have already approached Shilpa in this regard. If Shilpa accepts to be a part of this film, then this would be her third film after Ravichandran’s ‘Preethsod Tappa’ and Upendra’s ‘Auto Shankar’.
The untitled film which is being produced by Nisha Venkat Konanki under KVN Productions was launched in Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysore a few months back. However, the shooting could not start because of the delay in Dhruva’s another film ‘Martin’. The film is on the verge of the completion and after that Dhruva will be participating in the shooting of this film.
The film is based on a true incident in Bangalore’s underworld which happened in the 1970s. Prem is known for his underworld films including ‘Kariya’, ‘Jogi’ and ‘Jogaiah’. Now the director is back after a long time with yet another tale of Bangalore’s underworld in his new film. Though the film is based on underworld, this is a family film says Prem.
The film is set in the 1970s and the team is recreating old Bangalore. Two sets are already under progress. Meanwhile, Prem is likely to reveal the title of the film with a new poster soon.
William David of ‘Vikrant Rona’ fame has been roped in as the cinematographer. Arjun Janya is the composer. More details about the cast and crew of the film are yet to be revealed.
